1. Non-ionic separator (water electrolysis process):

Application: electrolyzed water

Metal purification, hydrometallurgy.

The charge of the membrane: neutral, uncharged.

Passability:

All cations, based on the electric field, are not restricted by the separator and are concentrated in the cathode chamber.

All anions, based on the action of the electric field, are not restricted by the diaphragm and are enriched in the anode chamber.

Suspended particles whose particle size is larger than the pore size of the separator cannot pass through the separator.

Lyophilic: 100% wetting and liquid absorbing.

Gas barrier properties, the gases generated by the anode and cathode are effectively separated by the moistened separator and will not mix.

Pressure difference resistance: The diaphragm pore diameter is <20um, which can withstand and maintain the liquid level difference and pressure difference in the cathode/anode chamber.

Stability: Resistant to working temperature and chemical environment.

2. Cation exchange membrane (electroplating process):

Application: electroplating, metal salt purification, chlor-alkali process. Seawater EDI salt production.

Membrane charge: negatively charged

Ion pass selectivity:

All cations, based on the electric field effect + the charge of the diaphragm, can pass through the micropores of the diaphragm and be enriched in the cathode chamber.

All anions are repelled by the charge of the diaphragm and refused to pass through, and are retained in the polar compartment where they are located.












3. Anion exchange membrane (electrolysis process):

Applications: Water treatment, raw metal recycling, hydrometallurgy.

Membrane charge: positively charged

Ion pass selectivity:

All anions, based on the electric field effect + the charge of the diaphragm, can pass through the micropores of the diaphragm and be enriched in the anode chamber.

All cations are repelled by the charge of the diaphragm and refused to pass through, and are retained in the polar compartment where they are located.
